Nueva Andalucía can be found slightly to the west of Marbella, close to Puerto Banús. The area is known to have retained its traditional Andalusian architecture despite its popularity with foreigners.
Nueva Andalucía is a sports enthusiast’s paradise, as the area is full of sports facilities, including tennis and padel courts, as well as several gymnasiums. Nueva Andalucía is also known as Golf Valley, and is home to some of the best golf courses on the Costa del Sol. Las Brisas, Aloha Golf, La Dama de Noche, Los Naranjos, and La Quinta are examples of such. The Aloha Golf Club has hosted the Andalusia Open Tournament on three previous occasions, in 2007, 2008 and 2012.
For shopping, Centro Plaza is one of the best options in the area. The centre includes shops, restaurants, bars, offices, a gymnasium, beauty centre and a supermarket. Nueva Andalucía, like many Andalusian villages, also has it’s own street market every Sunday, located next to it’s stunning bullring.
Down by the Mediterranean seafront, Nueva Andalucía is right next to Puerto Banús, a luxurious marina known as the playground of the rich and famous. Inside the marina, visitors can find an abundance of high end restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops.
